Which service should a new loc client choose?
Start with the method that best describes your goal—coils, crochet/instant locs, microlocs, Sisterlocks®-size locs, or extensions. If texture, size, length, repair needs, or added hair may affect the plan, book a consultation first.
What is the difference between a retwist, interlocking, and crochet maintenance?
A retwist guides new growth with product and palm-rolling. Interlocking secures new growth through the root pattern. Crochet maintenance works loose hair back into the loc with a hook and can create a firmer, product-free finish. The right choice depends on how the locs were started and how you want to maintain them.
Are the prices and durations final?
They are starting details from the current Square catalog. Length, density, new growth, condition, added hair, detangling, repair, drying, and requested styling can change the final scope. Square is the booking source of truth.
Should I book a consultation?
Consult first for microlocs or Sisterlocks®, extensions, instant locs, major repair, thinning areas, removal, significant color, an uncertain method, or a large transformation.
How should I prepare my hair?
Read the preparation notes attached to the selected Square service. Remove previous styles unless take-down is included, and share prior color, chemicals, extensions, scalp concerns, repairs, or matting before the appointment.
Can I bring an inspiration photo?
Yes. Reference photos help communicate size, length, color, and styling direction. Texture, density, condition, and hair history still shape the final result, so use the image as a starting point rather than an identical promise.
